Elon Musk has confirmed that his Space X corporation are in the early stages of building a fleet of micro satellites that will give cheap internet access to places where there is none.
The Wall Street Journal confirmed that Space X was planning to build nearly 700 of these tiny satellites that would weigh no more than 250 pounds at a cost of around $1bn.
When asked if the satellites would be used to provide free and unfettered internet access the entrepreneur replied that while it would be uncensored it wouldn't be free.
Space X has confirmed that it'll provide more information on the satellites and its plans for distributing in the coming months.
