Michelle Hardwick has signed a new ‘Emmerdale’ deal, meaning her character Vanessa Woodfield will sticking around in the village for the foreseeable future.
The actress joined the soap in 2012, and has had a number of big storylines since then.
Michelle has shared her joy at the new deal with the Daily Star, stating: “I’ve just got another year. It feels great. It’s very exciting. And it’s a huge compliment.
“I’m enjoying being on the show so much and I’d like to just stay there for the foreseeable future.”
In recent weeks, viewers have seen Vanessa consoling her friend Rhona, after discovering that her husband, Paddy Kirk, had been having an affair.
Vanessa also welcomed a baby son, and was at the centre of drama while trying to establish the baby’s paternity.
