The moment many ‘Emmerdale’ fans had been dreading arrived in Thursday (16 August) night’s show, when Andy Sugden left the village for good.
Actor Kelvin Fletcher has made the bold decision to bow out of the soap after almost 20 years, and viewers saw his character escape the police with the help of his brother Robert.
But while we’re super excited to see what Kelvin gets up to next, his exit did leave a door open for the character, so would he consider going back?
Speaking to Digital Spy, the actor addressed the matter, and it looks like viewers hoping to see him in the Dales again in the future might be in luck.
“People have said they hope he’s not leaving forever, but I really don’t know what the future holds,” he tells the website. “For me Andy is a character I’ve grown to love and who I’ll never forget. If there’s a time in the future that Andy reappears as a man trying to prove his innocence, who knows?
Kelvin’s exit was first rumoured earlier this month, though he was quick to shoot down reports claiming that the decision was spurred on by his dreams of being a rally driver.
With Andy now gone, Chrissie White is set to focus on another target, with a plan that has the potential to rip one another family apart.
