Scotland have qualified for Euro 2020 after a sudden death penalty shoot-out victory over Serbia.

The play-off in Belgrade had finished 1-1 after extra-time.

It sets up a tantalising Wembley Stadium clash against England during the covid-delayed tournament next June.

Scotland have now booked their place in Group D alongside England, Croatia and Czech Republic, with all three group-stage games taking place in the British Isles.

The most eye-catching is a repeat of the Euro ’96 clash with England, a game which saw Paul Gascoigne score a memorable goal after David Seaman had saved Gary McAllister’s penalty. England won 2-0.

The match will take place on Friday June 18 at 8pm.
