A fire chief has warned England football fans to get a takeaway on their way home from the pub during Euro 2012 rather than risk burning down their home by doing their own cooking.
New figures released by London Fire Brigade show two fires a day happen after Londoners have been drinking, and one in four people who die in a fire has alcohol in their system.
Three-quarters of alcohol-related fires are caused by cooking under the influence, with over half of these incidents caused by someone falling asleep.

The brigade has launched an advertising campaign in pub toilets to encourage fans to stop off for a takeaway rather than get a frying pan out after a few pints.
Ron Dobson, commissioner of the London Fire Brigade, said: "During Euro 2012 many Londoners will go straight from work to the pub to watch the football.
"Our research shows cooking after having one too many plays a massive part in house fires and, sadly, one in every four fire deaths involves alcohol.
"If people cook under the influence of alcohol they could be putting themselves and the people they love in danger. Play away from home and eat out."
The research was conducted using three years of data about accidental fires in the home.
The brigade is using Twitter to promote their message, by tweeting about every fire that breaks out across London between 8pm and midnight on Monday when England play France.
Twitter users will also be asked to come up with the best football-related takeaway team, such as Chipswich Town, using the hashtag #Eatmygoal. The best tweet will win a voucher from Takeaway.com worth £100.
