Bookmakers William Hill have the Scandanavian country - who have won the contest five times before - listed at 9/4 to be crowned champions on Saturday night.
Sweden's Mans Zelmerlow
They are being represented by Mans Zelmerlow, with his song, ‘Heroes’, which has already become a massive hit in Sweden.
However, a flurry of bets have been placed on the Russian entry, Polina Gagarina’s ‘A Million Voices’, leading William Hill to slash the odds.
Russia are now listed as second favourite for the win at 5/2 from 7/1 after making it through the first semi-final last night.
“The move for Russia is very significant, they have obviously been canvassing their neighbours and they will be a key player come Saturday night,” said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.
Italy (7/2), Australia (7/1) and Estonia (9/1) currently round off the top five favourites.
Astonishingly, the UK are also attracting a decent number of bets and they have been trimmed from 33/1 to 25/1, despite Electro Velvet’s song ‘Still In Love With You’ being slated by some critics.
Eurovision is continuing to attract massive support, with bookies predicting that over £2 million pounds will be spent on the outcome across the industry.
