Unlike many popular sports titles, Formula One games aren't named after next year.
Take F1 2012. You might have expected Codemasters to have released the latest update of the flagship F1 game months ago, before the season began. But in fact it isn't even out yet.
Not until 21 September anyway.
Confirming the release of the eagerly anticipated game on Friday, Codemasters also revealed a behind-the-scenes look at the new title.
Creative Director, Stephen Hood said: "The aim for the 2012 game is to make more of a complete F1 experience. [The Young Driver Test, featured in the trailer] gives those up and coming drivers track time to showcase their talents and it's wonderful that we are able to copy the elements that happen on those real Young Driver Test sessions in the game."
The game will be released on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.
