Facebook's latest bug has accidentally turned on a view count feature for some posts, adding to popularity contest woes all around the world.
Users reported that news links and posts they had shared mysteriously acquired a public count, showing everyone how many times their content had been seen.
Currently, the bug only appears to be affecting the mobile site and not the desktop.

Facebook told The Huffington Post UK, via email, that they are working to issue a fix immediately.
While most of us are probably breathing a sigh of relief that this is not a grand scheme to test a view count feature, some users seemed disappointed by the news.
For the rest of us, we can keep calm and carry on thinking that people actually care about what we share on Facebook.
