Blue was a big trend on the Autumn/Winter 2014 catwalks.
The key to mastering the look is to wear every shade, all at once - because layers are everything.
The Topshop Unique, Michael Van Der Ham and J. JS Lee catwalks showcased cobalt, royal, powder, ink, petrol and navy blue across collections that included textured knits, organza sequin-clad separates and beautiful outerwear.
The tone was preppy (invest in a polo neck jumper, midi skirt with lace hem, a bright leather tote and blue wool tights) with a grungy edge (smudgy eye make up and biker boots).
It's almost a given that you'll have a few blue items lurking in your wardrobe, so this trend is easy to do - just piece them together with a few new buys.
Layer cropped jumpers over shirts with silky trousers and suede ankle boots. Then opt for the most fabulous winter coat you can get our hands on (think faux fur styles, metallic macs and luxe velvet puffas) to complete the look.
Forget monochrome - this season is all about top-to toe blue, baby.
