Some engineers use highly complex geometry to work out the correct trajectory needed to send a spacecraft to Mars.
Others use it to do a barrel roll.
The first ground-to-ground barrel roll in a car was just successfully completed by stuntman Adrian "Wildman" Cenni, at an event in Mexico.
The stunt required precise calculations by his team to make sure the car would complete one perfect revolution, but maintain its direction and speed in order to land.
Take a look at how he managed it, above.
