We'll resist trotting out the old "bitten off more than he could chew" jokes, but check out this car crash.
Just in case you weren't sure, it's a meter-long pike that apparently died as it gorged itself on a 75cm zander.
The unlikely coupling was found floating in the waters of Almere, near Amsterdam by fisherman Rene Spaargaren, who reported his find to Dutch nature conservation news website Natuurbericht.

British angling expert Charles Jardine told the BBC: "What on Earth possessed the pike to take on prey that size? Gluttony just killed that fish."
He added: "A pike is not an alligator or a python - it will not accommodate similar-sized food.
"Because the teeth on a pike go backward, it would have been unable to release its grip on the zander. It was a death grip for the fish."
