The Daily Mirror's coverage of the death of fallen Libyan dictator Colonel Gaddafi was "banned" from being shown and simply ignored, while other newspapers, which showed images that were, arguably, equally as disturbing.
Twitter reacted with bemusement over the decision. "Interested, why has sky decided not to show the Mirror but shown the sun & equally graphic material on-air? #skypapers @suttonnick #Gaddafi" said Jules Mattsson.
But the Daily Mirror's picture editing was congratulated by The Guardian's Jonathan Haynes who tweeted: "I think the wider crop of that photo with all the people taking pics is excellent - good choice by the Mirror"
A Sky News spokesman said today: "A decision was taken by last night’s producer to not show the front page of the Daily Mirror simply because it was believed to be too graphic."
