‘Game Of Thrones’ fans may still be reeling from *that* action-packed series six finale, but there’s more big news, as bosses have revealed how many episodes of the hit show are left.
Sadly, for anyone hoping the end was still a long way off, we’re going to have to be the bearers of bad news.
Bosses have confirmed that no more than 15 more episodes are being made, and they’ll make up two, reduced-length seasons.
‘Game Of Thrones’ co-creator David Benioff tells Deadline: "It’s two more seasons we’re talking about.
Let's look on the bright side here though - the remaining episodes are going to be seriously action-packed.
David goes on to tease the final two seasons, which are currently being penned, but be warned - there are spoilers ahead for anyone who hasn’t seen the latest series’ finale.
“We’re trying to tell one cohesive story with a beginning, middle and end. As Dan [Weiss] said, we’ve known the end for quite some time and we’re hurtling towards it,” he adds. “Those last images from the show that aired last night showed that.
Season six’s grand finale left fans suitably stunned, almost as much as Kit Harington did earlier this month, when he made a drastic decision that fans simply couldn’t get over.
