Gbatteries BatteryBox With BatteryOS Technology Charges For Longer And Won't Degrade

These Mac Batteries Could Help Power Cars In The Future

Not only this but power units degrade over time with a typical MacBook battery losing nearly half its power capacity after six years.

The relatively small unit is a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery pack that charges to 50 Whr - enough power to run a MacBook Air for 12 hours, a MacBook Pro for six hours, or to charge eight iPhones.

It takes around four hours to charge and it can also be connected via a USB port to other devices.

What sets it apart form other similar technologies is it barely degrades when compared to current power units.

The BatteryBox can go through 3,000 full charge and discharge cycles and retain 96% of its original capacity after five years.

It's makers believe the technology could be used in the future in anything with a battery including electric cars.

Currently vehicles on their first charge are only powered to 50% in order to prolong battery life but BatteryOS technology could give a full charge first time round and not degrade over time.
