Having done *takes deep breath* Celebrity Big Brother, I’m A Celebrity, Celebrity Masterchef, All Together Now, Sugar Free Farm and Dancing On Ice since her early days on TOWIE, there aren’t many shows for Gemma Collins left to appear on.
However, she’s somehow managed to find one after signing up for a celebrity edition of The Crystal Maze.
The GC will feature in a team alongside on-off boyfriend James “Arg” Argent, presenter Carol Vorderman, comedian Ellie Taylor and writer Rick Edwards as part of a new series for Stand Up To Cancer.
But wherever Gemma goes, drama is never far behind, and The Crystal Maze is unlikely to be any different.
With that in mind, here are nine things we’re fully expecting to happen when she takes on the Channel 4 show...
1. A task involving words so she can show off her linguistic prowess
2. A full-on scene when she’s picked for another challenge
3. Her teammates continuing to choose her for tasks, despite her protests, simply to provoke a reaction
4. Gemma insisting “she doesn’t need the money”, despite the fact the episode is actually raising money for charity
5. Gemma being locked in a room after failing to get out in time, only to burst her way out
6. Her being so traumatised by the experience, she won’t be able to talk about it
7. Her eventually winning a crystal and then immediately start getting ideas above her station
8. Gemma refusing to enter the Crystal Dome, proclaiming: “I’m claustrophobic, Richard”
9. And, of course, no TV appearance from The GC would be complete without a little stumble
The Crystal Maze returns to Channel 4 on Friday 21 June at 8pm.
