Gemma Collins has found support from an unlikely source after launching her bid for this year’s Christmas number one.
Robbie Williams has backed the former TOWIE star to take the festive top spot, after she released a cover of Baby It’s Cold Outside with former Celebrity Big Brother housemate Darren Day.
The singer is set to make a cameo appearance on the GC’s upcoming Christmas special of her reality series, which airs on Wednesday.
In a video message, Robbie tells the GC: “I’m wishing you the very, very best Christmas and incredible new year.
“Good luck with the new single with Darren, it’s a cracker.
“Thank you for making me smile and thank you for making me laugh, we need more of that on our televisions.”
Robbie recently admitted he and his wife Ayda Field are big fans of Gemma’s and had been binging her reality show, Diva Forever, while in lockdown.
Meanwhile, Gemma has also confirmed an upcoming appearance on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories.
She has filmed a tell-all interview with the Good Morning Britain host set to air in the New Year, saying she is “nervous” for people to see it.
Discussing the programme during a chat on GMB, Gemma said: “Do you know what, Piers, I want to thank you for that because it was very ... what’s the word? Cathartic? It was very cathartic, and yeah, it was a real accolade to my career, you inviting me on.
“I am a bit nervous for people to see it, because obviously I do spill the beans on a lot of things with you that people haven’t heard before.”
Piers also enjoyed filming the episode, saying: “It was very emotional and it was very enjoyable as well. I thoroughly enjoyed it - it airs in the new year.”
Gemma Collins: Diva For Xmas airs on Wednesday at 9pm on ITVBe, while Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
