The work of the West's most improbable artists, George W Bush, has already been derided as "very simple-minded" and now it turns out they're pretty unoriginal too.

Solo art show “The Art of Leadership: A President’s Personal Diplomacy” appears to have taken a very quick search on Google images as inspiration.

Art critic and filmmaker Greg Allen has compared each painting to the "first-to-surface, easiest-to-find photos of his subjects" and it's hard to argue...

To be fair, the art of tracing is "completely legitimate method" according to art critics it's just you would think a little more effort would go into sourcing images for exhibition level.

Bush claims he took his inspiration from Winston Churchill who dabbled with a brush in later life.

But as one art critic put it: "I think a lot of us wish he had become a painter as opposed to a president. We all could have been saved a lot of trouble..."
