Need proof? Georgia May Jagger and Heidi Klum both swapped try-hard summer styles for this classic, statement-making colour on Tuesday in their simple, scarlet mini dresses.

Jagger, who was at the 'House of Sun' pop-up boutique opening for Sunglasses Hut in Madrid, paired her short style with black and gold sandals - proof that this colour looks best when the outfit, plus the hair and makeup, is kept low-key (a sun tan always helps when wearing this colour too.)
The only accessories you need to wear with the LRD? (That's little red dress.) A chic pair of shades, of course.

Klum also kept jewellery to a minimum and teamed her tomato red shift design with snakeskin sandals, metallic nails and a pair of tinted aviators. The result? The perfect summer-in-the-city style.
We don't blame those passers by for doing a double take either - those sun-kissed supermodel legs could distract anyone.
