Some days, it feels like almost everyone has a Guinness World Record - something 39-year-old Georgian kick-boxing trainer and spoon enthusiast Etibar Elchyev, is more than aware of.

After all, a radio host from Sydney recently broke the "longest one-on-one interview" record, then an American high school student launched 17 potatoes through a tennis racket in three minutes, breaking another world record - even Michelle Obama's got in on the act with her jumping jacks attempt being ratified by GWR HQ the other day.

Elchyev originally wanted to get his name in the history books by being the man who could balance the most spoons on his face at once - a record that currently stands at 27 spoons.

But it seems that that wasn't enough for our man Elchyev - we wanted more. "My goal is to set a world record which no one else can break," he said.

His unexpected alternative? Trying to break the "most number of spoons balanced on the body" record, with 50 of the metal utensils resting on his chest, shoulders and back.

But, as he's keen to point out, that's not the end of his talents:

"I am pleased with today's results, but I am not in a hurry to lay all my cards on the table immediately, as soon as you do it, everything is over."

"As you have seen I announced I would balance only 27 spoons but showed I could do 50 instead. So, next time I might show not 150, but even more..."

More than 150 spoons on your chest? Well then - and only then - we'd be impressed. Possibly. Maybe. In the meantime, let's all listen to Soundgarden's "Spoon Man". Go on, you know you want to...
