You'd think that seeing as Geri Halliwell hasn't got her feet fully under the X Factor desk yet, she'd be playing it quietly, in case she does anything to annoy Simon Cowell...
Oh no, not our Geri.
Despite being only a guest judge (for now anyway), Geri made a spectacular entrance as the auditions kicked off in Liverpool today, climbing on top of her car complete with loudhailer.
Very understated.
Anticipation for the news new series of The X Factor came to a head as returning judges Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh were joined by the Spice Girl at the Liverpool Echo Arena.
And after all the hoo-ha over Kelly Rowland's exit, then Dannii Minogue coming back and then not, and all the speculation about who would serve as guest judges, we were wondering if there would even be a full panel for the auditionees to sing to today.
Geri glammed up for the occasion in a blue lacy mini-dress, knowing we'd all immediately start comparing her and Tulisa's outfits.
Well, what is X Factor without a fash-off, eh?
Meanwhile, The Female Boss, who was pulling her still annoying trademark pose, went all girly in a floral dress with her hair in ringlets.
It has been rumoured that Geri is being lined up as a full time judge and producers will be carefully watching her performance at today's auditions in order to make the decision.
Geri served as a guest judge back in 2010, when she filled in for a pregnant Dannii Minogue in Glasgow, and previously sat alongside Louis Walsh on the Popstars: The Rivals panel back in 2002.
Also on the red carpet for the launch was Xtra Factor presenter Caroline Flack, who was without co-host Olly Murs, as he prepares to jet out to the States to support One Direction on tour.
Gary Barlow and Dermot O'Leary also both looked their usual handsome selves. And Louis, well, Louis was there too.
We can't wait to see all the mayhem unfold on screen. Just a shame we've got to wait until flipping August when the show starts. *sadface*
