In this country, she'd be arrested. But there are different rules in the parts of the planet in which supermodels like Gisele Bundchen exist. As in, 'What planet is she on?'
And so, despite the very obvious danger to anyone with any common sense, the Brazilian mum was seen riding over rough terrain on a quad bike, steering the vehicle with one hand while carrying her one-year-old daughter Vivian under her other arm. And neither of them were wearing helmets.
OK, Vivian's in a sling, but we doubt very much that would offer any kind of protection should the quad turn over.
In fact, it's very likely to hinder mum Gisele if she needed to reach for the brakes during her four-wheeler trek in Costa Rica where she's doing a bikini photo shoot.
In Britain, regulations regarding passengers on the vehicle state that 'a quad bike can only carry passengers if it is designed to do so and has the right number of seats.'
And in Costa Rica, it is illegal to ride an All Terrain Vehicle on public land without a helmet, but it's unclear whether the beach in question is public or private.
Kevin Clinton, head of road safety at the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (Rospa) said:
"Quad bikes are powerful machines that can reach very high speeds. In the event of an impact, riders are likely to be flung off the bike with the obvious risk of suffering serious injuries."
Quad bike, photo shoot, this isn't the first time Gisele has been seen multi-tasking with her baby daughter. The model shared a photo of herself being primped and pampered by stylists while she breastfed Vivian.
She wrote with the Instagram picture: "What would I do without this beauty squad after the 15 hours flying and only 3 hours of sleep #multitasking #gettingready'."
