Glastonbury 2016: Coldplay Bring Festival To A Close With Euphoric Headline Set

'Look at the stars, look how they shine for you...'

Coldplay have brought Glastonbury to a close for another year, after headlining the festival on Sunday (26 June).

The band gave revellers one last night of euphoria as they performed on the iconic Pyramid Stage for the Worthy Farm crowd.

Marking the fourth time Chris Martin's group have topped the bill at the event, their set mixed classic hits with more recent ones, delighting both casual fans and their die-hard devotees.

Included in the setlist were the likes of 'Yellow', 'Fix You', 'Viva La Vida' and 'Adventure Of A Lifetime'.

The set also included a live tribute to Viola Beach, who sadly died earlier this year, with Coldplay covering their track, 'Boys That Sing'.

This was followed by two live Bee Gees covers with Barry Gibb, 'To Love Somebody' and the disco staple, 'Stayin' Alive'.

They brought the evening to a close with a surprise duet with none other than Glasto organiser Michael Eavis, with whom they sang the classic, 'My Way'.

There had been some speculation Rihanna could join them on stage for a performance of their collaboration 'Princess Of China', but this ultimately turned out to be just a rumour.

This year's festival also saw Muse and Adele both headline the Pyramid Stage, with the latter's highly-anticipated performance proving to be the jewel in this year's crown.

Across the three days of live music, there have also been incredible sets from the likes of Jess Gylnne, Foals, Ellie Goulding and Earth, Wind And Fire.
