It wouldn't be Glastonbury unless it rained, would it? And that's exactly what has happened just a day before this year's festival properly gets underway.

Festival goers struggle in the muddy conditions

But despite the heavens opening, the wet weather wasn't about to dampen the spirits of the 135,000 revellers who have been making their way to the Glastonbury site at Worthy Farm, Somerset.

Instead, ticket holders (and a few celebs) have chucked on their waterproofs or found other means of keeping dry.

But it's not all bad news on the weather front. Despite more light rain forecast for tomorrow, it's looking good for Saturday and Sunday when the Rolling Stones and Mumford & Sons are headlining with plenty of sunshine predicted and temperatures in the low to mid 20s.

It's going to get very hot and sweaty near that Pyramid stage.
