Eddie Redmayne, Joanne Froggatt and Ruth Wilson were the three big British winners of the night at the 72nd Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles.

Eddie picked up his gong for Best Leading Actor in a Film (Drama), while Joanne was a surprise victor in the category of Best Supporting Actress, TV Series for her unflinching portrayal of raped housemaid Anna in the most recent two series of 'Downton Abbey'. Ruth Wilson won for her role in US series 'The Affair' alongside Dominic West.
