Egham's flooded streets might be a nightmare for residents, but for one little goldfish, it was paradise.
But the goldfish's bid for freedom was short-lived.
Local resident Dave Pope told ITV News he spotted the fish swimming down the Surrey street, flooded by the burst banks of the River Thames.

"I was walking down the road, suddenly saw a splash of orange. I thought 'Ello ello' - a goldfish. So I managed to catch him in my hands and put him in a teapot," he said.
Pope told the broadcaster he had found two more fish in his neighbour's children's garden, and the three are being looked after.
Some 84 flood warnings remained in place across England and Wales alongside the two severe flood warnings - meaning there is a danger to life - on the Somerset Levels.
The Environment Agency said there is an on-going risk of flooding from the Thames, where several hundred properties have been flooded since January 29.
There was ongoing river flooding on the Thames in Windsor and Maidenhead, Surrey, Buckinghamshire, Wokingham and West Berkshire and the EA said the Thames Barrier would close to hold back the incoming tide.
