A study of 2,000 women has found that singletons are spurning thoughts of finding a wealthy hunk and instead looking for good father material.
The study - undertaken by the London Fertility Centre - found that 40 per cent of singles were worried they were running out of time to start a family, and 27 per cent were continually 'on the hunt' for a future dad.
More than a third of single women 'fessed up that they would consider going it alone to have a child if they did not meet Mr Right, whilst 35 per cent admitted they were scared they had missed the opportunity to settle down by holding out for Mr Perfect.
Out of the married women surveyed, more than one in 10 married women said they settled for a partner to be a dad, yet 60 per cent wished they had waited and held out for Mr Right.
Dr Magdy Asaad from the clinic commented on the findings, saying that the centre 'frequently receive inquiries from single women researching their options for starting a family as they get older'.
What do you think? Are you single and desperate to find a good potential father?
