Monday morning saw the highly-anticipated reboot of ‘Good Morning Britain’, which saw Susanna Reid making her ITV debut alongside Ben Shephard, Charlotte Hawkins and Sean Fletcher.

The stakes were high for the breakfast show, which has been commissioned to replace ‘Daybreak’ after it failed to charm viewers over its four year run, while Susanna Reid left her spot on ‘BBC Breakfast’ after 11 years to front ‘Good Morning Britain’.

Predictably, the good people of Twitter have all chimed in to deliver their verdict on the show’s first ever broadcast, and to say the reviews have been mixed would be an understatement.

The show took on a more news-based approach than its predecessor ‘Daybreak’, which was praised by some viewers...

However, others claimed the show lacked warmth and the new set was too stiff and formal for an ITV early morning show...

And then the claws really came out…

...though there was some love, mainly from female viewers, for presenter Ben Shephard…

Even Sky News journalist Kay Burley weighed in, claiming the show’s overly busy format was giving her a cause for concern...
