Google's first router wants to take the stress out of WiFi
Google knows this so to help us keep our hair in it has created OnHub, a "different kind of router".
Self-updating and sporting a design that won't have you incomprehensibly gawping at an army of blinking lights.
It does this through a number of means, the first of which is design. Using a simple circular design Google has removed all the unnecessary antenna and cables.
Instead the OnHub opts for an all-internal design and singular lighting system that's easy to understand. The end result? A router that'll actually look acceptable on that beautifully polished concrete kitchen top we definitely all own.
Next up is the software. OnHub comes running some powerful software that'll do all the hard work for you. It'll constantly scan the signal strength and switch channels depending on which is the strongest.
It's also self-updating and will even let you pick a device for it to prioritise so if the PS4 needs an extra boost OnHub will make sure the grunt of the signal gets thrown in that direction as and when you need it.

It's also futureproof, so the router is compatible with other signals as well including Bluetooth® Smart Ready, Google's 'Internet of Things' language Weave, or 802.15.4.
Finally, there are no buttons. Instead it's controlled via a simple Android or iOS app.
Now for the bad news. It's not coming to the UK, yet. Instead it'll be launching in the US and Canada over the next few weeks for $199.99.
