With awards season now properly in session, attention turns to the upcoming Grammys, with the biggest artists of the last 12 months waiting to find out if they’ve been awarded with the most impressive accolade in music.

Alicia Keys is back on hosting duties, where nominations have been dominated by new artists including Lizzo, Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X.

There’ll also be some big-name performances from Ariana Grande – her first appearance at the Grammys since she famously snubbed the awards show last year – and Demi Lovato, performing a brand new song believed to have been written just days before her overdose in 2018.

For those awards show lovers hoping to follow all the action live on the night, here’s our guide to how to get the most out of the Grammys as they happen…

First off, how can we follow the Grammys red carpet coverage?

Well, as ever, E! viewers can look forward to the usual coverage from Ryan Seacrest and Giuliana Rancic, who’ll be speaking to all of the A-list guests as they make their way into the event.

This kicks off at 11pm and comes to an end two hours later when the ceremony begins, so make sure you get a coffee in fairly early on.

You can watch E! with subscription packages on Sky, Virgin Media, TalkTalk TV and Plusnet

But how can I watch the main Grammys show?

Ah, well, this is where things get a little bit more complicated. Those wanting to watch the whole show in real time are in for a disappointment, as there’s no way of live-streaming it legally here in the UK.

However, we will be tweeting along with all the action, so if you’re planning to stay up, get following us now.

And for those who don’t fancy staying up until 5am, you’ll be pleased to hear that 4Music will be showing the whole ceremony on Monday (27 January) from 7.30pm.
