The Great British Bake Off’s Opening Gag About Paul Hollywood’s Handshake Was Hilariously Creepy And Cannot Be Unseen

The stuff of nightmares.

Being on the receiving end of the highly coveted HH (Hollywood Handshake) is every baker’s dream on The Great British Bake Off.

Not so much for hosts Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas.

The presenting duo opened Tuesday’s Bake Off with a skit all about the legendary HH, which they discovered is actually locked in a treasure chest.

Upon opening the chest, Paul appears to ask Noel and Matt what they’re up to, which is when things got seriously creepy…

Bread Week saw the second Hollywood Handshake of the series, after Hermine impressed Paul with her smoked salmon-infused soda bread.

Meanwhile, Rowan became the third amateur baker to be eliminated from this year’s series.

The 55-year old from Worcestershire failed to impress judges Paul and Prue Leith during Tuesday’s bread-themed episode.

“I’ve had a wonderful time. It is exhausting, but very rewarding,” he said after providing us with another classic bit of innuendo...

Rowan was the third person to leave the Channel 4 show, after 50-year-old accountant Mak and 27-year-old diagnostic radiographer Loriea were axed in previous weeks.

Production of the 11th series was initially delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic, but filming finished near the end of August.

The bakers, presenters and others working on the programme formed a “bubble” in Down Hall Hotel near Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire, throughout the duration of filming, after being tested for the virus and self-isolating.
