CORRECTION: The Green Party has clarified that the advertised post is for 35 hours a week, not the standard 37.5 hours. This means the advertised salary range of £17,000 and £20,000 is above the living wage in London. A Green Party spokesman said: "The Policy role was advertised at £17-20K per annum. The Green Party contract is for a 35 hour working week. The London Living Wage is £9.15 an hour. £9.15 x 35 hours x 52 weeks = £16,653 per annum. For the record, the successful applicant earns towards the upper end of the bracket, comfortably above the London Living Wage. All employees at the Green Party are paid the living wage and we do not take on interns (unlike other political parties) as we are living wage employers." The Huffington Post is happy to set the record straight.
