Gucci has chosen British actress Vanessa Redgrave to star in its Cruise 2017 campaign.
The 79-year-old posed for photographer Glen Luchford alongside a cast of models at Chatsworth House, the 16th century Derbyshire home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire.
Gucci’s creative director, Alessandro Michele, is currently supporting cultural activities at the famous country estate. He calls the new line a “love letter to England”.
The new Cruise shoot was styled by Joe McKenna, fashion director-at-large at The New York Times’ T Magazine.
In the photo below, Redgrave models a classic Gucci double-breasted trench, teamed with a pleated silk shirt and striped merino knit.
She is also seen posing with the fashion house’s iconic Gucci Sylvie embroidered bag, teamed with a matching floral print skirt and shirt.
Redgrave was first revealed as the face of the campaign earlier this year, when she did a guest takeover of the brand’s Snapchat to give fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the photoshoot.
