The actress proved a little black ensemble and a lot of red lipstick is exactly how to make a statement.
The statement being: I may have "consciously uncoupled" (after 11 years of marriage) but I'm still fabulous.
Gwyn wore a black strapless crop with a black pencil skirt complete with lace hem, stilettos and went OTT (in a good way) with gold rings. Said scarlet lipstick and the poker-straight hair? The lady is a vamp.

The latest on Gwyn and Chris Martin? They're still close, and according to reports she's making the effort to get to know the new woman in his life, Jennifer Lawrence.
A source toldLOOK magazine, "Chris, Gwyneth and Jennifer were all in LA earlier this month, so Gwyneth suggested a friendly lunch between her and Jennifer. They met at her Brentwood home and drank tea and ate homemade scones while chatting in the garden.
"Gwyn broke the ice by telling Jen she's happy Chris wound up with such a smart, beautiful woman."
While Jen was absent from the Gwyn's 42nd birthday bash last week, which Chris had organised, reports say the two have officially met. (That must have been awkward.)
