Strictly's Craig Revel Horwood And Aisling Bea Steal The Show At Jonathan Ross' Halloween Bash

As IF someone came as Wagatha Christie.

We thought we’d seen the best celebrity costumes that Halloween 2019 had to offer, but then Jonathan Ross opened up his home for his annual bash.

Each year, the TV presenter’s house party delivers some brilliant costumes, and we’re pleased to say that this year was no exception.

Among our favourites were Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood, who played up to his villainous persona by going as Disney’s Cruella De Vil, looking – as Craig himself would say – ”fab-u-lous, darling”.

We also take our hat off to comedian Alan Carr, who arrived dressed as the fish from last year’s big Oscar winner The Shape Of Water, while fellow comic Jimmy Carr was inspired by The Handmaid’s Tale.

Also in attendance were Dermot O’Leary and Dee Koppang, who took inspiration from the latest series of Stranger Things, Maya Jama in full mermaid attire and Liam Payne, the Batman to girlfriend Maya Henry’s Catwoman.

Still, we have to say that all these costumes paled in comparison to Irish comedy actress Aisling Bea.

The This Way Up star paid homage to one of the year’s most over-the-top celebrity scandals, sporting a Sherlock Holmes hat while brandishing a magnifying glass and wearing a sandwich board emblazoned with Coleen Rooney’s infamous Twitter statement.

We are in awe.

And while Aisling unquestionably took the title of best costume this year, there were a few other notable mentions.

Scarlett Moffatt paid homage to Jennifer Saunders in Absolutely Fabulous, with David Walliams arriving dressed as Doctor Evil from the Austin Powers films.

Meanwhile, across the pond, Ariana Grande raised eyebrows with her Twilight Zone-inspired costume (which took five hours’ worth of prosthetics) and Jessica Biel dressed as husband Justin Timberlake during his *NSYNC days, shortly after an interview was unearthed in which she admitted to not being a fan of the boyband.
