The World War II veteran who took on a 'racist' tweeter in a heated exchange has continued his spat with the troll, by rubbishing claims that those who served in the war would be ashamed at what the country has become.
After the troll used an image portraying the opinions of controversial author and Holocaust denier David Irving, Smith quickly denounced the troll's claims and tactics.
The Irving quote read: "My own feelings about race are precisely the same as 95 percent of the people of my generation... If the British soldiers on the beaches of Normandy in 1944 could look forward to the end of the century and see what England has become, they would not have bothered to advance another 40 yard up the beach."
The image included quotes from David Irving
But Smith, who served in the RAF during the Second World War was having none of it.
Last week, and after Jeremy Corbyn's refused to sing the National Anthem on Tuesday, 92-year-old Harry Leslie Smith tweeted his none-too-subtle opinion.
In response 'daz' felt the need to offer his sympathies...
Only Smith was having none of it...
If you haven't heard of Harry Leslie Smith let us bring you up to speed.
He's a (according to his Twitter profile) "survivor of the Great Depression, RAF veteran & activist". He's also an author and basically a bit of a legend.
