Has Kate Middleton Been Halloween Shopping At Sainsbury's?

The Duchess of Cambridge is apparently taking the easier approach to Halloween costumes this year.

It’s that time of year again, where parents panic about their kids’ Halloween costumes – do they make one at home, or spend their cash on an outfit?

For the Duchess, it looks like she’s opting for the latter, as she was pictured reportedly buying Halloween costumes for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis at a branch of Sainsbury’s in Hardwick, Norfolk.

A photo has emerged, taken by Kathy Whittaker, 53, of the Duchess in the supermarket. Whittaker said there was a bodyguard near Kate at all times and they asked people not to take pictures, but she “couldn’t resist”.

Kate, 37, was seen between 11am and 12am on Thursday morning in the supermarket. She apparently asked some children what they were going to dress up as for Halloween while shopping.

Whittaker said she “couldn’t believe her eyes” as Kate browsed Halloween outfits. “Another shopper said that Kate was in the shop near the clothing and pointed where she was to me. I just couldn’t believe it!” she said.

“She was with Charlotte and George looking at Halloween outfits but her bodyguard was kind of watching people with phones and telling them no pictures. I didn’t see what she actually bought. I think she bought some Halloween bits for her kinds but I don’t know what.”

Charlotte, four, and George, six, followed their mum closely as they walked through the shop, she said. “It was so lovely to see her doing normal stuff that you and I do.”

Let’s be honest: Sainsbury’s, or any high-street supermarket, is where you want to be when Halloween costume shopping for your kids.

You could try home-making Halloween costumes – like these parents – but that involves a lot of time, effort, and most likely, stress. Even when the suggested outfits to make are “easy”, it’s still a lot easier to head to the shelves and grab one for less than a tenner.

We don’t know what costumes the Duchess chose to buy, if she did at all, but here are just a few from Sainsbury’s and more that’ll save you any stress before next Thursday.
