Britain's top milliners have been hard at work on bespoke headgear for some of London's most famous residents - the statues that populate Trafalgar Square.

The Hatwalk, curated by Stephen Jones and Philip Treacy was organised as part of the Mayor of London Presents... series of events which aim to bring a focus onto the UK's les sporty past-times as part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad.

Presumably pigeon repelling qualities were high on the list of design requirements as evidenced by the massive pointy bits on the Russian dome-esque hats Stephen Jones came up with for George IV and his horse...

P.S. Isn't Sir Henry Havelock wearing the hat Gaga was wearing for her EMA performance?
