Helen Flanagan in a nurses uniform? Yep, we're pretty sure that's something that a lot of her admirers would like to see and now it's set to become a reality after the former 'Coronation Street' star landed a role in 'Holby City'.

Acting roles have been thin on the ground for Helen since she left the cobbles but after a few years of not wearing very much and appearing on the likes of 'I'm A Celebrity', Helen's getting back to the day job.

She will appear as lazy agency nurse Kirsty in the long-running BBC medical drama in July.

Speaking about her new role, Helen said: “I’m really pleased to be working in a show I really enjoy.”

Oliver Kent, Holby City’s executive producer, says: “We’re delighted to have Helen on the show. She’s going to ruffle some feathers.

“So it’s definitely an episode to watch.”

Last week Helen hit out at magazine claims that she'd had plastic surgery, insisting the only reason her face has changed since her days playing Rosie Webster in ‘Coronation Street’ is because she’s grown up.

She wrote: “In my before pic I was 16 just dropped out of sixth form (which I don't recommend to do stay and finish your a levels really) just grew boobs and I have chubby cheeks 7 years later as a 23 year old woman I'm going to look different.”
