After reports that ubiquitous earphones are now causing life-threatening injuries to oblivious pedestrians, it might be time for a new solution.
Portuguese company EarBox might have found it. With an idea reminiscent of snowboarding helmets with flat, embedded headphones, the EarBox is a hoodie with its own sound system.
It connects easily to any music player, and hides the wires within the hoody itself. Not only will that make it easier to hear approaching cars - it also hides your phone or iPod out of view.
Their hoodies start from about £45 - buy them online here.
