We had to do a double-take when we first set eyes on these new pictures of Katy Perry - the singer's ditched her dark black-brunette locks in favour of a much lighter, brighter red hue.
Katy debuted her new 'do at the launch of her debut perfume Purr in Toronto last night.
Mrs Russell Brand teamed her new russett locks with a super-cute pair of Maison Michel cat ears, a lilac Miu Miu heels.

While her hair style and cut may have varied over the years, she's never reached for the dye before (well, not a different colour, anyway!) - preparing instead to don brightly coloured wigs, or stick to her famous raven shade.
But it turns out her new red hue wasn't exactly planned. The songstress revealed on Twitter that she was attempting to go blonde - but thanks to years of dying her hair black, it didn't quite turn out as she expected...
"So I didn't get to the exact colour I wanted from being black for so long!" she Tweeted
"2get to goal I have 2b GINGER for 3WKS," she added. "If I don't wait 3wks, I'll end up w/no hair or a #pixie90scutw/abarretteinthefront It's okay, I'll get to my secret color(s) soon! #patience!"
Well intentional or not, this new look, we like!
