Detectives investigating the disappearance of a 15-year-old girl are searching a house and parkland after arresting two men.

Kayleigh Haywood vanished after she was dropped off at Ibstock Community College, near her home in Measham, Leicestershire, at 6pm on Friday.

The teenager last spoke to her parents on Saturday morning and has not been in contact since, said police, who are becoming "increasingly concerned" for her safety.

Two men, aged 27 and 28, arrested in the Coalville and Ibstock areas, were taken into custody for questioning as forensics teams and officers searched "a park and house", a police spokesman said.

Leicestershire Police's head of crime, Detective Chief Superintendent David Sandall, urged Kayleigh to contact her family and appealed to anyone with information or sightings of the teenager to come forward "immediately".

He said: "Kayleigh, if you see this, I want you to know that you are not in trouble.

"The police and your family are concerned as they have not heard from you since Saturday morning and we just want to make sure you are OK."

The detective said a dedicated team of officers was carrying out inquiries to try to locate the missing girl.

He added: "Her family ... and us, are becoming increasingly concerned about her safety.

"You may have some information which doesn't seem significant to you, but it could really help with our inquiries. However small it may seem, please get in touch."

Kayleigh is described as being about 5ft 6in and of medium build, with long mousey- coloured hair.

Police said CCTV is being checked and house-to-house inquiries are being carried out and "a number of scenes" have been secured.

A bridleway leading to Sence Valley Forest Park is among the areas which have been cordoned off.

Mr Sandall added: "Officers are continuing to search for Kayleigh, and as part of these searches a number of areas have been cordoned off.

"I would reiterate my appeal for anyone with information about where Kayleigh may be to contact us on the dedicated phone line.

"Kayleigh, if you see this, please let us know you are safe and well."
