Take That's Howard Donald Names Newborn Son After David Bowie

Howard Donald has welcomed a baby son, who he has named in honour of David Bowie.

The Take That star's wife Katie Halil gave birth on Tuesday 12 January, two days after Bowie died of cancer, and the proud dad revealed his "divine" son's name on Twitter.

"Bowie Taylan Donald came into this world on Tues 12th Jan," he wrote.

"Mummy and daddy suffering sleep deprivation but life is wonderful, he is divine."

Donald had tweeted his sadness over the news of Bowie's death in the early hours of Monday 11 January.

Baby Bowie was born just 10 days after Howard and Halil's first wedding anniversary on 2 January. He is their first child together, but Donald also has two daughters, Grace, 16, and Lola, 10, from previous relationships.

We expect Donald will share a photo of the latest edition to his family soon as when he announced Halil was pregnant he promised his baby's birth would be accompanied by a special edition of his regular #thingsonhowardshead photo.
