A large bush fire is burning just 40 miles from the national park where I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here is being filmed.

Hotly-tipped stars Carol Vorderman, Ola Jordan and Larry Lamb are preparing to enter the jungle in the Springbrook National Park as the blaze in Tanglewood continues to burn.

Olympian Sam Quek, former England defender Wayne Bridge, Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt, presenter and model Lisa Snowdon and actor Adam Thomas are also heading Down Under for the jungle show.

The 10-strong camp will be completed by comedian Joel Dommett and Diversity dancer Jordan Banjo, when the series returns to ITV on Sunday.

The 82-hectare fire is under control and being managed by the New South Wales National Parks and Wildlife Service, according to the New South Wales Rural Fire Service.

Former Countdown star Vorderman, 55, has been linked to the series for some time.

She said of signing up: "I know people will ask, 'Why does Carol need to do this?'

"But I have never ever paid attention to what others think. I make my own decisions. I like the show and want to do it.

"I have been watching the show for years and have laughed so much. It is so funny."

Other names that had been bandied around include radio presenter Danny Baker, Homes Under The Hammer host Martin Roberts and even Nigel Farage, but they are not among the final line-up.

The programme, hosted by Ant and Dec, sees the campers living in an Australian jungle camp in basic conditions for up to three weeks.

They have to compete in various stomach-churning challenges and Bushtucker Trials to win food and treats.

And show bosses have promised there will be "a whole host of brand new nasty surprises created just for them".

Meanwhile the I'm A Celebrity... spin-off show will be the main camp's "naughty little brother", according to host Vicky Pattison.

The show will return to ITV2 with a new name, new presenters and a new format after the main ITV show.

I'm A Celebrity: Extra Camp will be hosted by former winners Pattison, Joe Swash and Stacey Solomon, as well as comedian Chris Ramsey to replace I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here Now, which was hosted by Swash, Laura Whitmore and David Morgan.

The show will feature unseen clips, interviews and bushtucker trials.

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here starts at 9pm on ITV on Sunday, with Extra Camp starting at 10.45pm on ITV2.
