IKEA has recalled over a million highchairs after three were hurt due to a faulty safety belt.
The furniture store has warned the safety belt on the £10.99 Antilop highchair can open unexpectedly while children are sitting in it. The product recall affects 1.2 million chairs.
IKEA has said it has received eight reports of the safety belts opening, with three of them leading to injuries from the falls.
In a statement, IKEA said:
"The highchair belt can open unexpectedly in use, creating a fall hazard. Ikea has received eight reports of belt opening, including three resulting in minor injury when a child fell from the highchair.
"No other highchairs are affected. Ikea apologises for any inconvenience this may cause."
The recall only relates to belts on those chairs made between July 2006 and November 2009, and which are stamped with 17389 underneath the seat.
