Illamasqua has launched a makeup collection to support The Sophie Lancaster Foundation.
In 2007, 20 year-old Sophie Lancaster and her boyfriend Robert Maltby, from Lancashire, were kicked, stamped on and left unconscious - simply for looking different. Lancaster later died from her injuries.
To help eliminate prejudice and hatred across the UK, her mother Sylvia set up the foundation - which Illamasqua have supported since 2012.
Proceeds from the range, created in Lancaster’s memory, go towards the foundation - funding workshops with young people in schools to create understanding and awareness of subcultures.
The new line consists of the brand’s Eye Colouring Pencil in ‘S.O.P.H.I.E. Jet Black’ (£16, with £1 donation).
And the Powder Blusher in ‘S.O.P.H.I.E. Golden Coral Shimmer’ (£22, with £3 donation).
The Illamasqua site is also selling a range of wrist bands, T-shirts and optional £1 donations to the Sophie Lancaster Foundation.
In a press release, the brand say it “proudly” supports the cause - which recently earned Sylvia Lancaster an OBE for her tireless work and campaigning.
