However, whether this has been done to reward to simply tease the contestants is not yet clear.

This year, the camp also includes a red throne next to the campfire, which bosses have revealed will be used by the camp leader, in a new twist for the show.

Who will be sitting on the throne?

Executive producer Tom Gould told The Mirror: “This is the first time we've had a leader in camp for a few years. There will be different people taking the leader's chair over the course of the series and they will be appointed in different ways.

“They will have various privileges, as well as various responsibilities. The chair is one of the top perks of the job and it's surprising how much they value a soft seat.”

The 10 celebrities will live together in the Aussie outback

Earlier this week, the identities of the 10 celebrities who will be entering the jungle were unveiled, with the likes of ‘Dragons’ Den’ tycoon Duncan Bannatyne, Spandau Ballet singer Tony Hadley, ‘Hollyoaks’ actress Jorgie Porter and paranormal presenter Yvette Fielding among the line-up.

TOWIE’ star Ferne McCann has also landed at Brisbane airport, seemingly confirming speculation that she will be a late addition to camp alongside ‘Made In Chelsea’ cad Spencer Matthews and ex-'Geordie Shore' star Vicky Pattison.

Ant and Dec will be on hand to welcome the stars into their new home during Sunday’s launch show, which airs at 9pm on ITV.
