'I'm A Celebrity' 2016: Michael Jackson's Former Doctor Conrad Murray For New Series?

We definitely didn't see this one coming.

Michael Jackson’s former doctor, Conrad Murray, is in talks to appear on the next series of ‘I’m A Celebrity’, his publicist has confirmed.

The cardiologist spent three years acting as the King Of Pop’s personal physician, up until his death from a propofol overdose in 2009.

Two years later, Conrad was found guilty of manslaughter, and was sentenced to four years in prison, of which he served two.

His publicist, Max Markson, now tells The Mirror that negotiations are taking place to get Conrad on the line-up for the forthcoming 16th series of ‘I’m A Celebrity’, which will kick off later this year.

HuffPost UK has contacted ‘I’m A Celebrity’ for comment.

Conrad Murray is currently back in the headlines, thanks to his upcoming memoir ‘This Is It’ - also the name of the live show Michael Jackson had been planning in the lead-up to his death - in which he makes a string of sensational claims about his former patient.

It has also been claimed that he’s currently bidding to get back his medical license, which was revoked due to his involvement in Michael Jackson’s death.

‘I’m A Celebrity’ typically launches in November, with a handful of stars already linked with a spot on the show, including former Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding and ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ cast member Jessica Wright.

Vicky Pattison is currently the reigning Queen Of The Jungle, after winning over viewers during the most recent series of the show.
