Controversial boxer Tyson Fury has fuelled rumours he’ll be competing on the next series of ‘I’m A Celebrity’.
With around one month to go until the new series begins, rumours are rife about which famous faces will be heading Down Under, with the Daily Star reporting that Tyson was on producers’ wishlists.
An insider suggested to the newspaper: “A good run on the show would improve his image.”
Shortly after the rumour was posted, Tyson retweeted a link to a story about his potential appearance on ‘I’m A Celebrity’, prompting even further speculation about whether he’ll be involved in the reality show.
Tyson has repeatedly been in the sports headlines recently, namely for when he announced his retirement from boxing on Monday (3 October), branding the sport a “pile of shit”, only to change his mind just a matter of hours later.
He also recently cancelled a rematch with rival Wladimir Klitschko, and could face losing his numerous professional titles, after allegedly testing positive for cocaine use.
If he does sign up for the “big money” ‘I’m A Celebrity’ deal described by the Daily Star, it seems he won’t be the only polarising figure in the jungle this year.
Back in July, it was reported that Conrad Murray, who was famously found guilty of manslaughter following the death of Michael Jackson, was a potential contestant, with his publicist confirming he was “talking to the show’s producers”.
Former Ukip leader Nigel Farage has also been repeatedly named as a possible campmate.
