'I'm A Celebrity' 2015: Airport Strike 'Poses Chaos' For ITV Bosses, Ahead Of Contestants' Arrival In Australia

‘I’m A Celebrity’ producers have got a major headache in store, before the brand new series kicks off in just under two weeks’ time.

Airport workers in Australia have announced that they’re going on strike next week, in international airports all over the country, which will bring terminals all over the country to a standstill on 9 November.

The 24-hour strike has arisen over a pay dispute, and is thought to cause “huge disruptions” for those hoping to travel in and out of Australia around that time - which, annoyingly for ‘I’m A Celeb’ bosses, also includes this year’s famous contestants.

The strike falls exactly when the stars are expected to be heading Down Under, which will make things difficult for producers.

Yikes.

This isn’t the first snag to hit the upcoming series of ‘I’m A Celebrity, as reports earlier this week suggested that one of this year’s contestants has been denied a spot on the line-up, after failing the necessary psychological tests.

‘The Only Way Is Essex’ cast member Chloe Sims had been hoping to follow in the footsteps of her former co-stars Mark Wright and Joey Essex (but probably not Gemma Collins…) by branching out to ‘I’m A Celeb’, but bosses reportedly had to turn her down, after declaring “it was not right to put her through [the experience]”.

Ant and Dec will be hosting this year’s ‘I’m A Celebrity’ launch on 15 November on ITV.
