Former ‘I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!’ campmate Shaun Ryder has sensationally claimed the show is fixed.
The Happy Mondays star has revealed he thinks producers rig the series to ensure the favourite is crowned King or Queen of the Jungle.
Shaun, who finished runner-up to Stacey Solomon on the 2010 series, told the Nottingham Post he believes it was fixed for the former ‘X Factor’ contestant to win.
“As far as I am concerned the game was rigged,” he said. “I really do mean that. I was in a band and Stacey had a career.
Stacey is now the host of ITV2 spin-off show ‘I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp’, alongside boyfriend Joe Swash, Vicky Pattison and Chris Ramsay.
Shaun also called the show a “piece of piss”, despite revealing he never wanted to take part.
“I didn’t want to go and I was kicking and screaming not to do it,” he said. “It was the record company, my girls and the missus that wanted me to do that. But I am glad that I did it. It has led to a lot of good things.
The current series of ‘I’m A Celebrity’ concludes on Sunday (4 December), with Adam Thomas, Joel Dommett, Scarlett Moffatt, Sam Quek, Martin Roberts and Wayne Bridge still left in the jungle.
